Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Cherie Ilg Haas
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan are on a dangerous mission to capture Count Dooku, a Sith Lord who is wanted by the Galactic Republic. After Dooku escapes from them, the Jedis chase him to another planet, where pirates capture Dooku first, for a ransom. After some unpredictable happenings, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Dooku learn that a combined effort even among enemies can benefit all. This book is a quick read that is well written, full of page turning action, and filled with twists and turns. It has the same tongue-in-cheek humor that "Star Wars" fans have come to love, and uses descriptive analogies to help the reader visualize such a fantastic story. Digital animation stills are found throughout the chapters, helping to balance the compelling story. A helpful glossary is included for those new to the language of "Star Wars." This book is part of the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" series, and is based on the TV series of the same name. Reviewer: Cherie Ilg Haas

Star Wars - the Clone Wars

My grandson enjoyed this immensely. He had run out of books for his reading level at home and I told him we would stop at Barnes and Noble so he could pick out some new ones. He only likes the action ones. They have to deal withsome movie he has seen or someting he watches on TV. This one fit the bill. A little challenging but not so hard he couldn't sound out the words. It takes us a couple of nights to get through one but that's ok as he has to read 20 minutes every night and this helps us spread the new books out. We bought several of these Clone Wars books at the same time.
