Overview

A trade summit on Corellia brings Han Solo back  to the home world he left many years before.  Arriving on the distant planet with Leia, their children  and Chewbacca, Han finds Corellia overrun with  agents of the New Republic Intelligence and finds  himself part of a deceptive plan whose aim not even  he understands. One thing is clear: the five  inhabited worlds of the sector are on the brink of civil  war and the once peaceful coexistence of the three  leading races — human, Selonian, and Drallan —  has come to an end.

The saga of Star Wars--the most profitable active publishing franchise today--continues, with an action-packed series set on Han Solo's home world. Civil war and intrigue take over the once-peaceful planet of Corellia, when it's invaded by agents of the New Republic. Includes a 16-page of preview of Book #2, Assault at Selonia. Original.

    Ambush At Corellia

Star Wars Ambush At Corellia is the first in the Corellian trilogy. Roger Macbride Allen does a great job bringing the classic Star Wars characters to life. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Luke and Lando star in this fun filled adventure, and the Solo twins also bring fun and flavor to the tale. The story does take quite some time to get interesting, but it proves to be worth the wait. There are some excellent new characters introduced such as New Republic agent Belindi Kalenda and various other human, Selonian and Drallian characters.

Over all, it's a kinda slow moving story that gets up to speed towards the end and is sure to grow in the second and third volumes of the trilogy.

Below Average In A Sea Of Titles

This book reveals the parts of Han Solo's past that were never revealed before. The workings of the Corellian system are put into closer view, and details abound. Unfortunately, the book also is of a lower quality than most of the other Star Wars books I have read. Small but annoying grammar mistakes dot the book, and the author's outlook on the force he/she makes Luke Skywalker display contradicts how the character is 'generalized' to act on the force. All in all, a slightly less enjoying read than many others.

    Well....

This book wasn't bad. It was a bit slow-moving in the beginning, but by the middle the pace picked up. Although, the author does go into some unnecessary detail at many points. There is a crash scene in this book that takes about 10 pages to finish. I'm sorry, but I start to lose interest after 2 or 3 pages. Also, there were several spelling errors in this book. Too many to be excuseable. That's why it didn't get 5 stars, but it is a good book, despite these.
