As the forces of darkness threaten to engulf the galaxy, one last defiant spark remains.... Though the Yuuzhan Vong were victorious in their savage conquest of the planet Duro, they failed to extract sensitive information from Leia Organa Solo, who now barely clings to life after enduring the enemies' torture. Unless she receives medical attention soon, the badly wounded Princess and former head of the New Republic will surely die. Pursued by bounty hunters, Han Solo begins a race against time, only to find his urgent pleas for help rejected by planet after planet, as the Jedi are blamed for the continuing fight against the seemingly invincible aliens. Desperate, the Solos decide on a suicide mission. They must reach Coruscant, the New Republic's strife-ridden capital where traitors, appeasers, and assassins now share the same goal as the fierce Yuuzhan Vong: kill all Jedi...

Great Continuation of the Yuuzhan Vong story

Adds a little extra detail to the saga of the Jedi vs. the Yuuzhan Vong and Senator Viqi Shesh. Great fun but too short!

    Good continuation of Balance point.

This was an awesome story. Even though I bought it in E-book format, I'd definitely pay again to get it in normal book format.

    Han and Leia's recovery

Recovery was agreat followup to Balance Point. I like how the book was kind of just a place for us readers to calm down after Balance Point. Altough, it still jad some action to it wgich was good. My favorite part about the whole story is how Han and Leia recove their marriage and it's like a hpneymoon all over again!

Enjoyable, similiar to full length novels

Nice, quick, easy read to fill in some gaps between the main novels.

Another Stellar story from the Star Wars Universe

As a longtime fan of all the Star Wars books, I have been reading them for 18 years, this new series is as good as the Vong tales, I like the fact that Luke and Ben are off on their own adventure and that the Sith are not a dead race. Good stories hard to put down!

Great pre-quel to Star by Star

Best from the NJO so far

I know this was just a short story basically, but I still found it much better than any of the other NJO books I have read so far (not counting Star by Star, whcih I just started). The relationship between Han and Leia is very good in this book, and the plot is done well too.

    cheated

I wish I had known that the entire ebook is the first eighty or so pages of Star by Star's prologue (at least in the paperback version, don't know about hardcover). Except for that I thought it gave some good connective information for what happened once they got off Duros in the previous book.
