This is most defintately Williams at his best. The three CDs for Episodes IV, V, and VI are great fun to listen to and the fourth CD, the unreleased material, is lovely, as it contains extra orchestrations and pieces not used in the films. If you're going to buy the Star Wars music, get this set. It comes with a book full of photos and prelim sketches, and a track-by-track commentary. I would recommend this to anyone who had seen and enjoyed the original Star Wars movies; hearing these CDs brings back all the greatest moments from the films.

This is an excellent source for all Star Wars music. You get 4 CD's with all the music from the original trilogy. If you bought just one CD of one of the movies, it would cost you the same amount, if not more than buying this collection! The book that comes with it is great and tells when each song is played and what is happening in the movie at that time! A great find!

The mastering is impeccable, the sound quality amazing, and the annotation very thorough, although one does wish at times that a more objective voice were heard from in the notes -- Williams'' work here was superb, to be sure, but it was also highly derivative of a brace of late-19th century and ...
