Overview

A riveting novel of fatal attraction between two young lovers entangled in time. In this fresh contribution to our cultural legacy from the Hoosier heartland, protagonist David Henry, through a combination of technology and serendipity, steps back more than a hundred years, where he falls in love with Mary -- and the era she belongs to.

Although sensing the tragedy of the fact that they are separated by a hundred years, David and Mary are too much in love to say goodbye. Stardust offers a thought-provoking look at the dramatic changes in attitudes, morals and values that come with technology, advancement and growth while proving that regardless of the time period in which we live, love transcends time.

After reading this book, I fell in love with everything about it. Living only 20 minutes from where the novel took place it really hit home. The characters seem so real and when I was finshed I felt like I lost a pair of friends. I have never read a book as captivating and emotional. I have contacted the author and begged for a sequel and he has kindly refused out of good reason. He is a brillant writer and story teller. He has more unpublished works that I have had the privilage of reading personally. They are equally as good in there own right. If I had one wish it would be to make this book into a movie. All the recent tear jerking movie, like the Notebook, would pale in comparsion to such a great story and I challenger any movie producer to prove me wrong. This book will change your life

Stardust is a book that is unique to this day and age of literature. Our society's current obsession with 'feel-good' books has created an audience that is lacking the wonders of real storytelling. We are shortchanged by writings that lack the realities and hardships of life and the pain of losing. Stardust tells us that not everything turns out as we might desire, but that these events meld us and make us better in the end. It suggests to us that these things are worth knowing.
