    Better then nothing but...

To me the StarOffice for Dummys accurately portrayed each of the features of the Star Office product. Feature by feature, one after another. However I found the depth was missing. The net effect was that using the StarOffice product was actually more useful then reading the StarOffice for Dummys. ##### It was fun referring to StarOffice for Dummys when ever I encountered a topic in StarOffice that needed explaining, but most times I was disappointed about what StarOffice for Dummys said about the topic. ##### The person I would recommend this book to would be someone wanting to get an idea as to what an Office Automation Software can do and has never used similar software before. Or someone wanted a 2 cm think book that dealt with each and every feature of StarOffice, as is and feature by feature. ##### I wanted a book that explained the philosophy of StarOffice, the best approach to using StarOffice, and pointer on how to over come the shortcoming of StarOffice. StarOffice for dummies did not deliver on these aspects.
