Overview

The telegram Samantha Sawyer Rodriguez holds is her key to freedom: her late uncle, Ezra, has left her his ranch in Sweetwater Springs, Montana. At last, she and her young son will have a true home, and she can finally pursue her dreams of raising her prized miniature horses and building a sanctuary for wayward orphans.

Prosperous rancher Wyatt Thompson has long coveted that river property. It’s bad enough that Ezra’s niece refuses to sell it, but worse by far that she’s stubborn, proud, and breathtakingly beautiful. The lovely widow and her adopted sons awaken memories of a shameful past he’s struggled to overcome. Yet when Samantha’s safety is threatened, he’ll risk everything to save the unexpected family he’s come to cherish.

In this follow-up to Wild Montana Sky, her acclaimed USA Today bestselling romance, Debra Holland sweeps listeners back to that majestic, historical landscape in an extraordinary story of redemption, courage, and tender, steadfast love.

    Very good read, Western Romance

Great easy read. Ms Holland does a very good job of relating the character and emotions of her cast. Definatly a woman's perspective; however, it is a delightful read for anyone.

    Very enjoyable read!

It's easy to root for the main characters Samantha and Wyatt,
and what a fun surprise to revisit with characters from Debra Holland's first novel, Wild Montana Sky.
Can't wait for more in the series!

    I Also Recommend:

A Western Romance with family warmth

The story of widow Samantha Sawyers Rodriguez and her move to Montana to raise her 9-year-old son and miniature horses springs to life with engrossing characters and powerful storytelling. Holland (Wild Montana Sky) creates a rewarding, old-fashioned love story that lingers in the memory. Set in 1894, the tale begins in Argentina when Samantha, chafing beneath the thumb of her harsh father-in-law, learns that she's inherited a ranch from her uncle. Soon she's butting heads with a neighbor, widower Wyatt Thompson, who wanted to buy the ranch for himself and disapproves of her plan to take in a troublesome pair of orphaned twin boys. But Wyatt can be an ally as well, especially when much of the town turns against the rambunctious children. I found this book hard to put down and delightful to read.

A Must Read for lovers of sweet western romance!

When Samantha inherits a ranch in Montana, her life changes for the good! She takes her dreams and her child and begins raising miniature horses. She butts heads with neighbor Wyatt who wanted the ranch for himself. But they become allies (of course! I love that part!). Also, I love reading a book and getting a chance to visit with characters I met and loved in an earlier book. If you loved Wild Montana Sky, you will really enjoy catching up with the cast from that book. A lovely, emotional but sweet romance. Can't wait for another one!

I did enjoy this book as well as the series. If you bought it for the Nook, you better check if it is still there. Mine shows that it is there but when I try to open it, it opens to Stormy Montana Sky. I thought that when I bought a book I had it permanently but evidently not. Barnes and Noble did refund my purchase but I wasted over an hour because first  I was told it was a technical glitch and  would have to call the help line. The author had pulled it. I don't think that is right. I'd have more to say about the book if I still had it.
