    Very Helpful Financial Book

In such uncertain economic times this book breaks down how to get back on track with your finances in a timely fashion. It breaks different aspects of investments, debt, etc. down in very manageable steps. Each step is very doable. Some steps did not apply to me but each chapter provided information that I can refer to in the future if it was not applicable today. It's a quick read and easy to go back to for reference. I strongly recommend it.

Again David always has good advice

I read Automatic Millionaire a couple of years ago and it was largely responsible for me getting out of debt and actually having a rainy day fund (I never had one before). Though with the financial collapse of '09, I got off track. When I read Start Over, it really helped me take a long hard look at how I was spending andget back on track. It's not just a rehash of Automatic Millionaire there's a lot of new info in the book as well. I lent my Automatic Millionaire copy to a newlywed coworker of mine, but I won't be letting this one go anytime soon. I highly recommend this book if you want to get your financial house in order.

A Step-by-Step Plan to Financially Rebuild

No one likes to start over - especially in mid-life - but for many, given shrinking 401Ks, foreclosed upon real estate, and job losses, hitting the reboot button it is the only option. In his most personal book yet, David Bach's Start Over, Finish Rich provides a step-by-step- plan for getting back on track financially. As Bach notes, "the journey of falling down and getting up again happens to ALL OF US. And the fruit of life, the true blessings, often comes when we get back up again."

Start Over, Finish Rich is a financial planning book that wants to be more than just an informative read. The table of contents aptly conveys the roadmap to recovery: Recommit to Wealth; Find Your Money; Deal with Your Credit Card Debt; Fix and Protect Your Credit Score; Rebuild Your Emergency Savings; Re-energize Your Retirement Plan; Make it Automatic; Rebuild with Real Estate; Rebuild Your College Fund (and Restructure Your Student Loan); 25 Ways to Save $5,000; Find Your Power - Give to Others; and A Final Word: My Personal "Start Over" Story. In addition, each chapter ends with a "To Do in 2010" checklist to stir the reader to action.

Starting Over isn't fun, but with Bach's expert guidance, we can still finish rich!

    I Also Recommend:

    It's starting to work

This book caught my eye as I sort of do need to start over. Things were going very well in my life, and then, I discovered that I placed my trust in some others that I should have not trusted so much. That left me in a precarious circumstance. Though I have the education and some exceptional skills and talents, for years I have yet to find full employment for what it is deemed that my skills are worth.

I'm greatly thankful that I found my present jobs and no one deemed me overemployed as actually, this is an oppotunity, most if we don't currently have a job with a higher salary by this age, just deem is not woth it at all. Here my employers give me a chance.

Nevertheless, I have a special challenge with part time jobs with no benefits, to try to make my way out of poverty wages anyhow.

Now, following the books plan just after a few months, I have a little safety net, savings, stock, and plans to budget for a venture next year. It's led me to his the authors website, and more books to further guide my financial planning. I thought my finances were too small to do much planning. Nevertheless, the basic principals apply to virtually any situation.

    Basic, practical financial advise.

The author provides very basic, practical, common sense advise about how to manage one's finances. This is a book for those who don't have a clue about managing money on a day to day basis. There are some useful tips about how to organize income and expenses. He explains the need for self discipline without labling as such. I was most impressed by the psychology. The financial insight is rudimentary.

    Insightful Read

David Bach's "Start Over, Finish Rich" was an insightful read. I particularly enjoyed the Latte Effect. It was very revealing of the spending culture/habits we bind ourselves by. I received a my copy free thanks to Smile.ly and RandomHouse.
