This wonderful book was very helpful and informative for those of us looking to start a home-based food business with no former experience. It's extremely clear and concise as to how a business like this should be organized. It's an amazing wealth of information if you are just starting out in this field. As Mimi suggests in her introduction, "I wish there had been a book like this when I began." If you are looking to start a home-based food business, consider yourself lucky to have such a great resource at your fingertips!!

Start and Run a Home-Based Food Business, was a great resource for anyone thinking of running a food business out of their home. The logistics of making your home based food business legal are pertinent in the US and Canada so I will be able to use the information to certify my upstate NY kitchen. The book also has some very creative idea's about financial backing, finding a niche and choosing a product.

This book was extremely useful for anyone operating a food business out of their home. It gives information I was not able to find anywhere else regarding pricing, labels and what was required by law. An excellent reference source for anyone with a home based business.

This is a great book if you are considering starting a home based food business - and have no idea how to do it. It is well organized and clear Each chapter details a different aspect of the process. The end result being a comprehensive view of what to do. It's also chuck full of ideas and details. If success depends upon attention to detail - this book will help you achieve it!

If you want to learn how to start a baking business, this is the book for you. The information is easy to understand and follow, and the author gives examples in every chapter. I was in school and working full time when I lost my job. But after reading this book I started a home-based baking business and within a few months I had a steady income and was still able to continue in school.

when trying to start a business the details of how to start and how to get there are really important. you want a reference guide to keep on your shelf and refer when in a bind. this was not it for me. It had too many recipes (which I have enough of) and it seemed like all the secrets were on the cd, which if the pouch was opened it becomes non-returnable. I returned the book with cd intact. Dissapointed.
