Fun way to make a jacket!

As someone who has sewn most of her life, making a jacket is not that big of a deal. But for people who are new to sewing, or intimidated by the thought of making a jacket, this is a good way to start. Using a sweatshirt to start with that you already know fits, takes out some of the guesswork.

The directions are easy to follow. Deconstructing the sweatshirt to make your pattern is simple. Having the sweatshirt as the base eliminates the need for lining and batting and is very comfortable. This is also a great way to repurpose a sweatshirt you're no longer wearing. I suggest giving it a try.
