Great Overview for Starting a Magazine

If you are considering starting a magazine or newsletter, read this book first. It provides a comprehensive overview of how to start and run a magazine. The book is full of advice on what to do and what not to do. Provides a great chapter on resources for publishers. Only weakness is that most of the case studies are 'fictitious.'

    In Plain English

In the realm of self help 'Starting and Running a Successful Newsletter or Magazine' does more than just give complex information that only an expert already in the field can understand. The information included in this publication is insightful, well researched and very easy to understand. Before I began to read this book I posessed very little knowledge of what it took to run a publication, that has change drastically from just reading a few chapters. This has also been the only book I have found with recent information regarding the topic of magazine publishing. I commend the author and recommend this book for anyone intersted in starting a successful magazine.
