I was intrigued when I saw this book at the Barnes and Noble store last year, but had to wait until I had the money to buy it. The book really offers encouragement for anyone having the desire to play banjo but are shy about it. I like Wayne Erbsen's down to earth teaching methods. The tabs are very easy to read and the calligraphy is pleasing to the eye. The accompanying CD helps me to learn how to play a song like Wildwood Flower faster. The book discussed banjo history, parts of the banjo, tips, rolls, songs like Cripple Creek, Sourwood Mountain, Old Joe Clark, John Henry, John Hardy, and much more. Was this review helpful?
