The Treading Water Series, Book 3

In a drunken stupor, Brandon O'Malley frightens his brother Aidan's girlfriend, enraging his brother and the rest of his family. Aidan offers Brandon the choice of rehab or jail, and Brandon reluctantly enters treatment. While in rehab, he confronts the lifetime of secrets and resentments that fueled his spiral into alcoholism, and these revelations have a major effect on his entire family. When he returns home expecting to resume his supervisory role in the family’s construction business, Brandon learns his father has retired and put his younger brother, Colin, in charge. Brandon is unhappy to be given the job of renovating an apartment building where he loses his heart to an adorable five-year-old tenant named “Mike.” After he falls hard for Michaela, Brandon becomes involved with her mother Daphne, who is running from a past that will later test his sobriety and his mettle as a man.

"The finale to the Treading Water trilogy was an enchanting lesson in ensuring a low point in your life doesn't define the person you become. It is wonderfully written with characters that envelope you in their world. This book is an excellent ending to a series of books that truly pulled at my heartstrings." —Starting Over, A Reviewer Top Pick, Night Owl Reviews.

Joyfully Reviewed
Treading Water creates an emotional firestorm within the reader. It shines the light on the good and the bad in life and proves that one moment can change everything and it’s never too late to find love. Marie Force grabbed my heart and squeezed every ounce of emotion out of it but most importantly her monumental story left me blissful. Treading Water may be fiction but it gives me hope; hope in everyday people and happily ever after. I cannot wait for the next book in this trilogy!
Night Owl Reviews
As with any Marie Force book, you are immediately immersed in this storyline and connect with the characters. Once you start, you are hard pressed to put this down and you're smiling or holding your breath through all their ups and down. Another excellent read! —A Reviewer Top Pick for Marking Time, book 2 in the Treading Water Trilogy

    A must read contemporary romance!!!

Make sure you have tissues on hand, as I guarantee you will definitely shed some tears in the beginning set-up, but that's what will make the journey to the "Happily Ever After" so meaningful. This is a wonderful book on overcoming your past, forgiveness, finding love, and family. If you haven't read the 1st two books in her Treading Water trilogy, you definitely should before reading this one. Again all of them are wonderful, and I was so hooked I read late into the night to finish each book in 4 hours!!

I stumbled on this author, and since then have gone through all her books. I absolutely love all of the books by Marie Force. She has a way of writing sensual contemporary romance that's real, where the relationships develop without the ridiculous, soap opera-like melodrama that one might find in cheaper contemporary romances. I have the feeling that her books could easily translate to on-screen romance films.

If you haven't checked out her other books - definitely go for the Fatal Series if you like suspense. It's what hooked me into Marie Force. My other favorites were the Gansett Island Series, another another amazing contemporary romance series.

    Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!!!

Another Marie Force Masterpiece... WOW!!! And when you have finished Book three move on to Book 4 and read Kate and Reid's story.. Could not put it down and could not go to bed with these four books unfinished... The story, the characters and the family dynamics in these books in OUTSTANDING... Some of the very best books I have ever read (and that is a lot of books)... I cannot review the books because I wouldn't spoil the experience for anything... BUT, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy some of the best reading ever...
