Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
Shakespeare wrote to entertain the public, so it's unfortunate that the study of his works has come to be seen as an obscure and difficult scholarly pursuit. This book does a good job of demystifying Shakespeare and encouraging the study of his works in the primary grades. The authors include lots of good tips on how to introduce and enjoy the plays and poems by the Bard of Stratford on Avon. Although this book is directed to public school teachers, there is no reason why private school and homeschool teachers could not also use it selectively. 2000, Teacher Ideas Press, $23.50. Ages 5 to 12. Reviewer: A. Braga SOURCE: Parent Council Volume 8
