    The best of the standard textbooks on Stat. Mech. for graduate level physics students.

    There are a few typos, but good alert students will easily pick them out. Regarding the Stirling appoximation mentioned above (on page 82). It is nothing more than a typo/misprint. Huang obviously uses the correct formula in his derivation on page 82.

    Yuk.

    This is the worst book I have used in my five years as a physics student. It makes Jackson look good. It is full of typos and incomprehensible.
