Editorial Reviews

Stay is a wonderful paranormal romance. It is fast paced and intriguing and totally absorbing. I really felt like I was there inside the book. It is full of suspense and danger and of course a little bit of romance.

The characters are brilliant, especially the protagonist, Callie. I loved the fact that she is just a normal girl who is thrust into the world of the paranormal and she struggles to accept who she really is: a faerie princess and her rightful place is on the throne as the fa

Love triangle...bad, there was so much back and forth I got whiplash Grammatical errors...really bad, literally did not know the difference between to and too. That might be a little TOO picky? I'm not sure. Inconsistencies...rediculous. Who is kidnapped and helpless one day, and then beats that person to a pulp the next, well like two weeks later, but still? And that was even before she trained to be a kickbutt warrior in literally two or three days. Give me a break. Dialogue...worst of the worst. This is what ruined it for me. Who speaks with absolutely NO contractions...ever? I kept changing what they said in my head so it would actually sound right. Overall, it had potential, but with the editing and pace issues it wasn't (wow, a contraction) worth a dollar.

I like the book overall...but the rushed feel of it and the characters' overreactions and rash decisions make it highly unbelievable. When I read books such as these, I like to feel as if I can imagine being there myself. The writing style of this book makes it hard to feel that. I think the book should be free personally...but its okay. I don't reccommend it nor do I not reccommend it.

The story itself could have been good, but it was written too quickly and carelessly. Also, the interactions between characters were highly unrealistic and forced.

So first off the concept is amazing and i love the characters but with that said so much more could have been done...they jump from story line to story line and never go into detail or really explain things. In the end it was just okay. Its too short and it wasnt extremely well written. There were also a lot of spelling mistakes. If you have the time its a cute read but dont go into it expecting an amazing story because you will be dissapointed...

I received a free review copy. This didn't impact my opinion in any way, although it did stretch me into a genre I hadn't read before. If you like books about fairies, this would probably be an enjoyable read. I was hoping I would get past the wings to enjoy the story, but it wasn't like Harry Potter or Twilight where the story is more than the elements. Callie tended to solve her boy problems by punching them out, and I didn't think that was a healthy approach. The story was interesting. The characters just didn't appeal to me. Since this is a YA book and was clearly aimed at a younger audience, a younger reviewer might give it a better rating.
