Overview

Was a little peace and quiet too much to hope for?

Mac Montgomery spent two years watching his father play matchmaker for his brothers and their wives and as the last Montgomery standing, he knew it wouldn't be long until all eyes would be on him. While he couldn't deny that things had worked out well for his siblings, the last thing that Mac wanted was to get married and settle down.

He hadn't counted on his father not wanting to set him up with anyone.

And he hadn't counted on Gina Micelli.

After more than a dozen years away from her beloved family friends, Gina Micelli comes home to take care of her ailing father. Some of her most cherished memories are of the times she spent with the Montgomerys - and her crush on Mac. She was a child when she moved away, but now as a grown woman, the thought of seeing Mac again actually has her wondering at the possibilities.

Ever the responsible one, Mac makes sure that Gina is taken care of during such an emotional time. He wants to see her as a friend, as the girl that he remembers from his youth. Unfortunately, the beautiful woman she has grown into has all thoughts of a platonic relationship flying out the window. Torn between honor and passion and peace or chaos, all Mac knows is that his life is never going to be the same.

The timing is all wrong but for two people fighting for control over their own lives, their response to one another is anything but.

Meet the Author

Contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, “Jordan's Return”, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

Her second book, a holiday novella titled "The Christmas Cottage" climbed the Amazon charts and peaked at number ten on the Best Sellers in Women’s Fiction on Christmas Eve 2012 in books and number 116 in Kindle books. Watching the numbers rise and fall was a daily roller coaster ride but definitely an exciting one!

The follow-up, “Ever After” was not a planned book; the response to “The Christmas Cottage” was so great that fans of it begged to know Ava’s story. It was something that was planned for a future book but due to the many inquiries, it was moved up to be the next story written.

“The Montgomery Brothers” series is the story of brothers Lucas, Jason and Mac; three bachelors whose father is desperate to see them all married and happy. His behind-the-scenes matchmaking has been fun to write and these three books will have you sighing with thoughts of happily ever afters. “Wait for Me” is Lucas and Emma’s story and was released in May 2013; “Trust in Me” was Jason and Maggie’s story and was released in July 2013 and I hope that you enjoyed Mac and Gina’s story with “Stay With Me”.

In August of 2013, Samantha’s book “Catering to the CEO” was part of a five-book collection entitled “Loving the CEO” where she collaborated with four other Indie authors. The collection is currently on the USA Today Bestseller List! It was a first-time entry from Samantha and it’s an exciting attachment to add to her title!

When she's not working on a new story or editing the ones that are in progress, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, blogging, playing way too many games of Scrabble on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 23 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

A fine ending to the series. I enjoyed Mac and Gina's story as much as the first two books. These are just very sweet romance stories about falling in love and hoping to find your forever partner in life. Just a nice light read. I enjoyed William and his match making ways also. JudyE

    So

I have a bunch of quotes if you need them.
I don't think I'm stupid. But hey, who knows, right?
Aw, I don't get into politics. I just want to toss fireballs at bad guys.
Er, I don't remember when. ...Or where, exactly. But it totally could have happened.
I hate it when people bleed for me. I'd rather they bleed BECAUSE of me.
I'm instinctively drawn to cute stuff. ...Seeing cute, defenseless things just brings out the sadist in me.
It takes constant focus to cease all conscious thought.
Sometimes I forget that everyone's head isn't stuffed with rainbows.
YOU would accuse ME of lacking in intelligence?!
But I can still be myself, and that's just who I am!
Waaait. Are you implyin' I'm stupid? 'Cause if you are, you're WRONG!
Oh, that's great! ...Wait, no it isn't. That's not great at all!
Since when did you ever let reality get in the way of your happy little fantasy world?
No, I do remember, but just not right now.
I imagine I could find you tolerable if you stopped talking.
When life gives you lemons, you sell lemonade! Then you sell the lemon rinds, and plant the seeds, and sell the lemon trees later on!
Ergo, my mustache makes me invincible. It's science, my boy–science!
Well, see, when a mommy zombie and a daddy zombie love each other very much...

    Loved this series

First time in a while that the 3rd book in a series was as good if not better than the first. Seems so many 3rd installments have been disappointing- that is not the case with this one. Loved this book! Very touching and loved the ending. Samantha Chase keeps your interest and knows how to deliver.
