Comp of "third wave" ska covers all ground from rootsy, punky, funky, and soulful. Many people deny up and down that they were a ska fan in the 90's (as if listening to Arcade Fire or Wilco makes you an adult) but to me ska opened up all musical horizons. I suddenly became open to jazz, blues and now have very eclectic tastes beyond guitar rock. This disc brings back memories of good times while at the same time reminding me of missed opportunities and lost chances. Nobody had the perfect youth but this disc takes me right back there to the point where it is almost real. Just not real enough for me to catch up to my former self and say to him, "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think."
