    Incredible Story

Wow! What an amazing story! I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this. I knew it would be a little scary and emotional but I never expected so many wonderful romantic moments! Elena is such a beautiful person. She’s had a very difficult life so far but she still remains loving, forgiving, and has an incredible amount of faith in herself, God, and humanity in general. And Alex, he was quite a surprise! He was so strong, handsome, honest, and probably the only person in the community who was actually brave enough to think for himself. Together they may be the only hope the other women in the community ever have. There are some very intense, scary moments in the story, as to be expected. But there are also so many tender moments of love that it will fill you with hope as you read!

I usually like the majority of Shelly Crane's work, but this is probably my least favorite. It was good, but not something I will re-read.

    I Enjoyed It

I'm not saying it was the best book I've read from Shelly Crane. It does deal with adult themes not for kids under 17.But I do think it needs to be given a chance to be read.It was a slow start for me at the beginning but the story does pick up quickly. You learn to care about the main characters and where the plot leads.I'm glad to hear that there will be sequel.

    Could use some editing

The story was interesting, but there were two big problems I had with it. 1. I stopped counting the number of grammatical/spelling errors in this book - another read-through would really help! 2. I didn't care for the way they romanticized the kidnapping. I know Alex was out to change how things were done, but it was a little over the top the way they fell in love so quickly. Elena's advice to "be a good wife" in that horrific situation was a little unrealistic as well.
