The Ending made this series 5 STARS for ME! <3

The first thing I would like to say is I am loving this story! This book was actually brought to my attention through an email from Barnes & Noble or Amazon stating ~If you liked (such and such) we recommend The Steal and Lace Series.~ (or something to that effect) I have only really paid attention to those emails a few times, usually I do a quick skim and then DELETE! But over the summer I was actually captivated by a couple of different books in the email and immediately added them to my TBR List!

In the beginning of this story you will meet a sweet woman by the name of Evangeline (Eva) and her fiery best friend Cate as they head to an opening event for a new store, since Cate is a fashion designer they are able to go to the exclusive events for new openings. We immediately meet Carter Morgan, who is a HOT, SEXY and named Forbes youngest Billionaire along with well-known womanizer…of course. He is perfect and an ass, with in the first page. He immediately seems to take a liking to Eva who is standing off to the side by herself while Cate mingles with all the other people at the party. Carter immediately seems to go introduce himself and is found out that he has taken a liking to Eva. They introduce themselves and Cate barges in and the moment is over.

Over the course of the next few days, Carter has used his resources to find out where Eva lives, works, is from, etc. This immediately worries Eva, especially since it comes across stalkerish~ (Which it kind of does). Throughout the book Carter and Eva bicker back and forth constantly and fight like they have been married for twenty years. Eva is over reactive and childish at times and Carter is over protective and tries to be way to controlling!

The only thing that I did not care for in this novel was how controlling Carter could be, a little too much for me. However, with that being said, I love the authors technique and writing style, Adriane Leigh draws out attention in and shows up all the character flaws and small details that help throughout the story.

I truly loved the ending of this story and I think that anyone who reads it would enjoy Steel and Lace!

    Couldn't even finish the sample

This is just poor writing, and such an obvious copy of fifty shades I find myself embarrassed for the aithor.

    more from this reviewer

I feel this book is nothing more than a copy of FSOG, This Man,

I feel this book is nothing more than a copy of FSOG, This Man, Crossfire, and another series I can't remember the name of. Aside from the parts I thought were blatant copying I felt the story was stale. The characters and plot were underdeveloped and overall the story was rushed. The characters were immature and not all that likable. The only reason I finished it was to see how many more lines and plot would be "borrowed".

    Pretty Good

Pretty good but I feel like the writer took alot from Fifty Shades of Grey and Crossfire in that I see alot of similaries between this and those. Not written quite as well as Crossfire but much better written than Fifty Shades of Grey though. Overall though it was a good read.

    Awful

If it happened in Fifty, Crossfire or Blackstone it was ripped off and put in this book. Come up with your own ideas please. You might as well read the other books instead that way you at least get a story line.

Having a hard time finishing it. Skimmed plenty so far. Eva is so stupid and annoying.

One of the worst main female characters ever in a book.

    Save your money

This book was too similar to The Cross Fire serious and Fifty shades. It was like having the books combined. It didn't have a plot at all. Save your money.

    Glad I only paid .99

Very poorly written. Under developed story line. Had ahard time finishing this repeative story. Basic story, Misunderstandings, someone leaves, yell and scream then wild sex, repeat for 600 pages. I skipped a lot of the pages.
