This album astonishes me to this day. Big Country did not play it safe on its follow-up to the legendary album The Crossing, and it may have cost them ongoing success especially in the United States. Steeltown features some of the finest poems/lyrics and melodies and musicianship I've ever heard, from start to finish. It's mysterious and arty while at the same time rocking and raw. One of my top five albums ever, and I've heard all the good stuff! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
