Abbey was ready to live "happily-ever-after" - until reality set in, bringing with it an incorrigible stepdaughter, newfound telekinetic powers and betrayal by friends and family. So with few options left to her, Abbey decides to embrace her role as a wicked stepmother and make her own happy ending.

Meet the Author

A reformed wicked stepmother herself, Ruth Griffin spends her days plotting schemes for the greater good of her family and her community. Though she has an occasional relapse into her former ways, she insists she is happy being the mother/stepmother of three and a half teenagers and the wife of Prince Charming (who suspiciously has a few warts). Completely delusional in her own right, Ruth expects to live happily-ever-after - once she figures out what that actually means. Read her blog at ruthegriffin.wordpress.com.

I LOVED it. It was one of those books you just can't put down. I would have finished it in one sitting if not for my wifely, motherly and household responsibilities. I cried with the main character, laughed with her and got angry with her. And if you're a fan of faerie tales, you'll enjoy guessing who's really who from each tale (Cinderella, Snow White, etc.). It was a quick, smooth read that kept you wondering where it was going next. I definitely recommend it.
