Stereo Girl

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Mike DaRonco
Element 101 have a couple of good things going for them: for one, a special songwriting craft that's equally energetic and mature. For another, they have the crisp vocal leads of Crissie Verhagen, who shines with a sincere presence that can also capture your attention with ease. Stereo Girl has a number of pop elements get it?! that provide a crunchy punk sound without incorporating any emo breakdowns or Weezer-esque synthesizers. In other words, Element aren't doing anything fancy to appeal to the kids who buy what's popular; they just want to rock out with their own style.

An actual person who saw them in concert

It seems like every review written for small bands is written by somebody from Barnes and Noble just to advertise, cause you can just tell the way their written is by someone who knows nothing about them. BUT, I went to see The Juliana Theory at the Metro in Chicago and Element opened the show. I'd never heard'em before, but I love them! I'm addicted! The songs are only about god if you read into them. I just hear great punkish rock. I was in the front row, and MAN, the lead singer Crissie is HOT!!

Element 101 just got even better

Stereo Girl is an incredible cd, packed with upbeat passion filled tunes and heartfelt lyrics. I've listened to it nearly every day since I bought it, and without fail one of the songs is always running through my head. They weave God into the lyrics in an undeniable way without shoving him down your throat. Every song seems to reflect a deep friendship with him, and leaves you feeling encouraged in your own walk. There doesn't seem to be a mood that this cd doesn't fit, it covers a wide range of emotions and leaves you with the feeling that there is a ray of sunshine peaking out from behind every cloud. You won't regret buying this cd
