Overview

On 4th September 2006, Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray while filming at the Great Barrier Reef. Known as the 'Crocodile Hunter', after his TV series of the same name, Steve was only 44, and his untimely death robbed the world of one of its greatest and most popular naturalists, conservationalists, and environmentalists.

Although an undeniable gifted broadcaster and consummate showman, Irwin was first and foremost an animal lover, and this book traces his extraordinary story, telling how his irrepressible energy and all-consuming passion for wildlife and the natural world caught the imagination of TV viewers all over the world, turning him into a global phenomenon. With astonishing photographs throughout, it looks back at the 'Crocodile Hunter's' great life adventure, celebrating this unique force of nature, and providing a fitting tribute to one of Australia's most colourful and much-loved sons.

Steve Irwin: The Incredible Life of the Crocodile Hunter

oh, my, gosh! i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove the irwin family! i love watching them on tv! i cannot believe that bindi irwin is having her own show. i've been waiting all year for this! i watch the crocodile hunter every time its on. i don't care if its an episode i've seen like a million and one times. he is AMAZING! bindi is her father's daughter with her heart for wildlife. i believe that she and her brother will some day own australia zoo and continue to carry out steve's message for conservation (which has certainly gotton to me, or else i wouldn't be writing this) bindi is adorable. when steve and terri first met, terri never knew she would meet the man of her dreams. who knows what the world would've been like if her freind didn't invite her to australia or if she never went into the zoo? i don't even want to think about that! i LOVE the irwin family. they're all amazing. and robert clarence irwin is adorable. i wish he was old enough to co-star for bindi's show. well, maybe he'll be in some parts of the show (hopefully) long live the irwins and their passion for wildlife!

Steve Irwin: The Incredible Life of the Crocodile Hunter

Steve Irwin is amazing. I always go onto hs website. I love the commercial that he and his daughter, Bindi Sue Irwin, made. I've memorized all the words to her commercial, 'Come over to my place, I'll show you around...' It's really cute. I knew soooooooooooooooooooo much about the croc hunter, and this book will teach me even more, from all the animals to everything that they do daily at Australia Zoo. I haven't read it yet, though. I've always dreamed of working for him, so I made the wait fun. I've written and I'm still writing a story of what it would be like to work for Steve Irwin. I know soooooooooooooo much about him, I even know what he'd say. His favorite crocodile is Bindi, he has two kids, Bindi and Robert, he has over 300 staff, he has over 700 animals. I don't think the San Diego Zoo has that much, but my opinion is that I think Australia Zoo deserves to be the biggest and best Zoo on Earth! It totally rocks. Other things I know about Steve and his family is that he was born on Feb. 22, 1962 and died Sep. 4, 2006, his wife was born on July 20, sorry Terri I dont know what year, Bindi was born on July 24, 1998, and Robert was born on Dec. 1, 2004, and Lyn died in the year 2000. Sorry if it brings back sad memories. The weir thing is that my birthday is 7 days after Terri's and 3 days after Bindi's but I'm still older than her. She's only eight and she's turning nine soon. I love The Crocodile Hunter sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! I hope I get to work at Australia Zoo when I'm older! I would love to wrk witht their reptiles or their mammals
