All Music Guide - Jose F. Promis
Eros Ramazzotti released Stilelibero meaning "free spirit" or "free style" in late 2000, and the album features some of the singer's finest material to date. Where in the past some of his ballads have weighted down his albums, on this set they are among the highlights. The album has a definite pop feel to it, evident by the Euro-dance-leaning opener, "L'ombra del Gigante." Most of the album, when it's not in ballad form, could be categorized as MOR rock with catchy hooks, with songs such as "Fuoco Nel Fuoco" and "Amica Donna Mia" falling into this category. There are several interesting moments on this set, notably the irresistibly soulful "Improvvisa Luce Ad Est," and ...

There are several interesting moments on this set, notably the irresistibly soulful "Improvvisa Luce Ad Est," and his duet with, of all people, Cher, on the dramatic "Piu Che Puoi." However, Eros truly shines on the ballads, and several of them are downright stunning, among them "Un Angelo Non E," "E Ancor Mi Chiedo," and especially the album's closer, "Per Me Per Sempre." The album also includes interactive menus, which feature a biography, an interview, a photo gallery, a discography, and the video for "Fuoco Nel Fuoco." All in all, a thoroughly engaging package from the Italian singer.

    outstanding

he is very, very good. I am his fan since I was 10, and now I am 26 and I still like to listen him every day, but now together with my son. He is just a baby, but he loves Eros' songs.

    Eros is stunning

I have been an Eros fan for 10 years now. My first Eros Ramazotti album was, ''In Ogni Senso,'' which has classic Eros songs. However, ''Stile Libero'' is now my favorite Eros CD. I purchased other Eros CDs, but none of them really impressed me until I bought this one and heard 'Ombra del Gigante.' What a great mix! Eros adds some Euro-tech-pop background that really moves the song. Then, he moves into the passionate 'Fuoco nel Fuoco.' The entire CD is great to listen to. If you're like me, each new song will have you saying, ''Oh, I love this song.'' It's that fun; it's that good.
