A great read from start to finish. Could not put it down once I started it. Can not wait for Sara Brooke's next novel.

Still Lake is a fast paced, entertaining read . The story is plausible and the characters believable. If you like horror, I recommend taking a dip in the chilly waters of Still Lake.

    The characters are incredibly real!

Some you’ll feel like you know, while others you’ll be thrilled that you don’t! There were just the right amount of them too. Not so many that you need an Excel chart to keep track of everyone. WARNING! The character of Chuck will stay with you LONG after you finish this chilling tale!

I’m not normally a fan of this genre but this story was highly recommended by a friend. The author has a unique voice that is intelligent and macabre! She has a keen understanding of human nature and how people really speak and think. You’ll feel like you were really there…which is a scary good thing!

Ms. Brooke has delivered a fast paced and entralling story... Once you start you won't put it down. This story was built around a kernel of possibility which played to my imagination... could this happen in my town? Every year, you hear stories about tragedies link to still water lakes. She does an excellent job of tapping into this fear and takes you on a wild ride of mayhem. Her story makes me think twice before I dip my toe in a lake.
