With a sword swallower as a father and a closet chanteuse for a mother, it’s no wonder Carolyn Burns Bass became a writer. A lovely and lyric short story that follows the theme across time and generations of appreciating what is right before you. In the story, we encounter a young woman intrigued with Van Gogh. Her descendant, whose experience of life parallels her own, learns much by reading her secret letters.
