From Barnes & NobleTwo main plots twine their way through John Harvey's involving new police procedural Still Waters. One concerns art fraud, the other the disappearance of a woman who may have been a victim of a serial killer and almost certainly was the victim of domestic abuse. Uniting the two cases is the personable Nottingham detective Charlie Resnick, who loves jazz and cats and maybe a woman named Hannah. The book is set in England, but there's nothing teacup-cozy about the urban crime that Resnick faces.
