Still Waters

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
As if they finally realized that they couldn't quite compete with contemporary musical fashions any more, the Bee Gees moved firmly into "mature" territory with Still Waters. However, they are canny enough to realize that they shouldn't abandon the frothy disco that made them superstars in the late '70s -- they should merely temper it with measured rhythms and tasteful melodies. Consequently, nothing on Still Waters is infectious, but it is pleasant, and while only a handful of singles stand out -- "I Could Not Love You More" is a sweet ballad -- it is still a fine, professional effort from these consummate professionals.

I COULD NOT LOVE U MORE

I have listened to many love songs and I boldly say 'I could not love you more 'is the greatest love song ever written. The aphonia in Barry's voice does not fail to bring tears to my eyes anytime I listen to it.I love U,Bee Gees.

The Best CD of the Brothers Gibb

I Could Not Love You More is one of their BEST songs on this CD. Barry sings it in such great style. The melody is beautiful. Then there is A Lovers Prayer, which is another beautiful song that the Brothers Gibb record. It is just a beautiful CD.

    Still The Best!

This most intricate use of their beautiful harmonies delivers so many unique sounds on one album, and each song could stand on its own as a single (and a hit)! I am always amazed at how many ways the Brothers Gibb can blend their many voices. This is one of their best.

    Still writing good music

Being a fan since the '60s I think this CD is a good combination of their disco and earlier music.
