Meet the Author

JENNIFER JEFFREY is a food writer who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Andrea Froncillo joined the Stinking Rose Restaurant as executive chef in 1996 and subsequently oversaw the opening of the parent restaurant group’s four other Bay Area restaurants: the Crab House at Pier 39, Dead Fish, Boboquivari’s, and the Franciscan Crab Restaurant. He lives in San Francisco on the famous “Crookedest Street in America.”

So I must say up front I usually don't use cookbooks, not that I'm some great cook, I just don't. So my husband and I have actually been to both of the Stinking Rose restaurants and absolutely love their food! I finally decided I really needed to get this book,it has so many of their wonderful recipes plus some other odd & ends! When I got my book I couldn't wait to try out a recipe, so of course my husband wanted me to make their meatlof ( his fav), but I didn't have all the stuff. I did settle on making their garlic & rosemary ribeyes, can you say YUM!! seriously as it's always worrisome cooking a recipe for the first time you wonder if it will even come close. With this recipe, it was EASY and DELICIOUS! I can't wait to try their garlic encrusted ribs (my fav),I'm actually drooling just thinking about them, No kidding! they are that good. The best part was I actually ordered this book as used, because I just can't bring myself to spend alot of $ on a cookbook, and I got it for like $8 through the B&N site from a company called Green Earth books, and it was like brand new!
