About the Author

The author Evaggelos Vertsonis died in 1973. He was a senior official of the Ministry of Interior of Greece. He was a graduate of the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki. He had served as Governor in his hometown of the island of Lemnos in Greece for a decade. He has written short stories inspired by the island of Hephaestus, Lemnos. The publisher Mary Vertsoni is his daughter.
