Some of the characters were great others a bit strained. I just couldn't get why a father would keep in touch through the years and not let his daughter know who he was. There was an explanation of course I just didn't buy it. Also did he not notice she was being raised by the wicked witch of the west. Some of the minor characters were more interesting then the major ones. Still hannah howell can weave a story and as stories go it was a good one.

I have more books by this author than any other and reread a lot of them. This is another keeper although it did have a few grammatical errors, uncharacteristic of Howell it still is worth reading.

This adventure was fun & unpredictable. I fell in love with Hunter, he is a smart provider. Leanne can go from wearing pants riding a horse to slipping on a dress being a lady. Shes very flexible, adapting to her surroundings. Jed & Charlie were a very caring pair. Tough on the outside, soft on the inside. How the Walsh's turned out to be a great family, with a horrible mother like Lorraine, is beyond my understanding. I did not like Mrs. Walsh. Mr. Walsh had to have a lot of impact on their lives for the adult children to turn out to be good people. I almost didnt see any hope for the only Walsh daughter, Laurie. I enjoyed the female bonding between Leeanne & Laurie, wished there was more.

A Great Book Historical Romance Colorado, Texas & Mexico 1870 Leanne Summers learned in one night that everything about her life as she believed it is a lie and in that same night lost her home and every possession. She doesn’t think of the consequences when she witnesses a bank robbery going on. She barges in after stealing a gun and within minutes finds herself a captive. Hunter Walsh knows he should leave Leanne behind as soon as he sets eyes on her. He doesn’t need the distraction of the desire he feels for her. He finds that abandoning an impulsive, brave woman isn’t as easy as it should be. Even a ruthless outlaw can’t ignore temptation especially one that is irresistible. This is a story that can be re-read over and over. The laughs and action make for a book that is very hard to put down. The characters are well written and help bring the book to life. The reader never knows what will happen next and just what each character will do besides having the reader laughing out loud. The story will also pull at the reader’s heartstrings and make for a book that will stay with them long after they are done reading it. This is a great book to read for readers that love historical books. It will also have readers wanting to read this author’s other books.
