“Dancers/Hostesses required for top cabaret nightclubs both here and overseas. No experience necessary. Mega bucks to be earned. Telephone. . . ”

Would you answer an ad like this? Thousands of women do and fall victim to the illegal trafficking in women by organized crime syndicates.

Driven by the desire to start a career or escape poverty, women migrate in search of work and a better life for themselves and for their families. For some, this search is the beginning of a nightmare experience. From “hotel receptionist” to nightclub “dancer” to “domestic worker,” Stolen Lives: Trading Women Into Sex and Slavery exposes how women are hired in their country of origin, transported, left without money, passports, or permits, and become trapped into prostitution or domestic slavery. Branded as illegal aliens and marooned in a culture they don’t understand, they have nowhere to go and no one to help them.

With personal testimony from women caught in the trafficking web, Stolen Lives reveals the violent inner workings of international crime networks, the routes and methods involved, and how trafficking gangs are able to circumvent the law.

The trade in women is one of the most shameful abuses of human rights, yet it continues to be ignored by national governments. Stolen Lives confronts the hidden scandal of global trafficking which exploits women as they attempt to emancipate themselves.

Wishes to Reality ~ Chapter 2

((I accidentally pressed post last time, so that chapter wasn't quite done. But that's alright! A longer chapter for you guys!))

Abby's POV

Sighing, I toss the letter in the trash, and wonder who pulled a prank on me. I flopped on the couch, but decided not to tell my friends. They could have pranked me, or they'd just laugh. So, I let it go for a while.

Lyra's POV

"Please, Twilight?!" I begged. I had the letter rigt in front of me, addressed and all. "Lyra, I know this really fascinates you, but are you sure it's a good idea? I mean, what if you can't get back and your alter egos are permanent?" I shrugged. If what I knew about this Abby was true, she LOOVED ponies and wouldn't mind living in Equestria forever. And I loved humans, so I think it could work. "Don't worry, Twilight!" I assured her. "It will all work out." Twilight sighed, but took the letter. A bright pink light emitted from her horn, and in a blink, the letter was gone. "Oh thank you!!!" I cheered. Twilight nodded, and then, all I had to do was wait.

    *A few days later*

Lyra's POV

I went into Twilight's library a few mornings later. She was already awake, a worn spellbook in front of her. When I arrived, she looked up and asked, "Are you ready?" I nodded. Twilight stood up shakily, and she was probably as nervous as I was. I saw her mouth the words of the spell. I felt the wind pick up in the room. It turned pink, and I was thrust into the air, surrounded by pink swirls. The ground then rushed up to meet me and all I saw was black.

My Little Fanfictions: Cliffhangers are Magic!!! I hope you all enjoyed that chapter, and expect to see the next chapter soon!!!
