What People are saying about this

Scott Mitchell
What a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. -- (Scott Mitchell, Literary Agent)
Carolyn Hopwood Blick
Stolen Moments which is reminiscent of Love Story is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. Like Love Story it is about a dying woman who has found true love. It is the love story of the nineties. -- (Carolyn Hopwood Blick, Literary Agent)
Father F.J. Power
I finally read your book! It is a spellbinder. One I got reading I could hardly put it down. what terrific writing. You have an exceptional gift! -- (Father F. J. Power editor of Messenger Magazine)
Rosemary Farrar Pocock
Once I picked up Stolen Moments, I couldn't put it down. A love story not soon to be forgotten. It's exuberant, inspirational, breathtaking, and heart warming. . . .all at once. A book to be read over and over again. -- (Rosemary Farrar Pocock, Terra Community College)
Bill Greenleaf
I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a manuscript more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. -- ( Bill Greenleaf, Writer's Digest Associate & published author)

This is a book that I will read again. I learned a lot about myself from enjoying the fictional characters. Both lead characters were an inspiration to me. I would suggest anyone who is struggling with any illness or even any major problem in life read it. Hats off to a great writer. I hope she writes a sequil to the wonderful book.

I had the pleasure to be a student of Barbara Jeanne's, a few months ago. I now have the honor to call her my 'friend.' This woman, who truly knows what it means to 'Write from the Heart,' wrote a story of depth, honesty and 'pure heart!' As I read the other reviews, I was surprised by a critic's ill remarks. Obviously, written by someone who does not know what, 'writing from the heart' truly means. Most critics only know.... well, yada, yada, yada....anyway; so, pay that critique no never mind! This book is great! It is wonderful, inspiring, honest and 'from the heart!' I love it and give it as a gift every chance I have, so others may feel it warm their hearts, as it has mine! I HIGHLY recommend this book, Stolen Moments. Read and ENJOY! A J Jones

I just finished Stolen Moments and am awed by the depth of the characters and emotions Barbara Jeanne has created. As an author, I'm a voracious reader and am regularly disappointed by the reams of shallow who-struck-John paperstock that seems to find its way to the shelves of our mass-market book stores. Without a doubt, it's the best love story I have ever read. 'Love Story' used to be the example by which we all judged love stories, but Stolen Moments has just raised the bar. The characters are as real as the people we all know from our own experiences in this life and Barbara has captured the depth of emotions that we all know are there or have experienced but can't seem to adequately explain. I can only feel sorry for those who are too young, or have too little real-life experience, to appreciate the depth of emotion within its pages. In the most simple terms, it's wonderful, and it's wonderful to know that there really are talented writers still alive and well in America.

I WAS TOLD I HAD TO READ THIS BOOK BY A CLOSE FRIEND, AND I CAN NOT THANK HER ENOUGH. WHAT A FANTASTIC STORY OF TRUE LOVE THE WAY IT IS MEANT TO BE. THE CHARACTERS ARE SO REAL, THAT YOU FEEL THAT YOU HAVE KNOWN THEM FOREVER, AND THE AUTHOR'S INSIGHT TO THE FEELINGS OF OTHERS IS FANTASTIC. THE PLOT ALWAYS IS MOVING AND YET IT IS AT A STEADY PACE SO YOU NEVER GET LOST. . .THE PLACES DISCRIBED IN THE BOOK MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU ARE THERE, AND SOMETIMES NEVER WANT TO RETURN TO YOUR LIFE . . . THIS IS A GAREAT BOOK FOR ANYONE WITH ANY ILLNESS, ANYONE WHO STARTS COLLEGE LATE IN LIFE, ANYONE WHO MIGHT JUDGE PEOPLE ON FIRST IMPRESSIONS, AND ANY ONE WHO JUST WANTS TO READ A VERY BEAUTIFUL, LIFE LIKE LOVE STORY. IT IS GREAT TO HAVE THE DEPTH OF LOVE IN THIS BOOK WITHOUT THE CONSTANT HEATED SEXUAL SCENES, AND YET THERE ARE SOME DEELPLY MOVING AND EROTIC TIMES . . .GOOD TO SEE A BOOK THAT RESPECTS BOTH LIFE AND MORALS AS WELL . . .AND YET KEEPS YOU WANTING TO TURN THE PAGES. . I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE/ MALE OR FELMALE, YOU OR OLD . . .IT IS MEANT TO BE READ, AND SHARED . . .I CAN NOT WAIT TO READ ANOTHER BOOK BY THIS AUTHOR...SHE IS GREAT.

Too slow for me, too sappy. Romance, yes, but too dreamy, unrealisic. It just didn't feel real. No high points in the book, just yada yada yada. No edge. Got my point?

I was deeply touched by the author's ability to portray such deep, fulfilling love between two people, without getting carried away with imorality. The love is devine, the kind that I feel every human should experience in a life time. Don and Julie become your best friends, and the plot is one that remains in your heart long after you read that final page. I can not wait to read more books by this author.
