Overview

Gryphons flying past skyscrapers? Wizards battling it out in coffeehouses? Women riding motorcycles with large swords strapped to their backs? All normal sights since the Great Collision happened twenty-six years ago.

Well, not normal for everyone. Larissa Miller may have been born after the Great Collision, but as a history teacher who lives in the human-only city, she has never come into contact with any other race or species, nor has she wanted to. Her life is as ordinary as it gets - that is, until one day she walks out of her apartment and is attacked by a mob of Zombies, only to be saved by a Gargoyle.

Gargoyles trust no one outside their Clan, but due to a cryptic prophecy, Terak, Leader of the Gargoyles, has been watching over the human woman for months. While he can find no reason why the woman has been singled out, something about her stirs every protective instinct within him. When the attack confirms that the threats against her exist and are real, he convinces Larissa that though their races have never been allies, the best chance of discovering why she has been brought into his world is by working together.

In the course of their investigation Terak becomes entranced by his little human. But when he discovers why Necromancers want her and the great reward that awaits him if he betrays her, he must choose between the welfare of his Clan and not only Larissa’s life, but the fate of this New Realm as well.

~~~~~
In Danielle Monsch's STONE GUARDIAN, trust between species doesn't come easy, but a human woman's love for her gargoyle guardian transcends all the old prejudices. I loved it! ~~ Alexis Morgan, author of MY LADY MAGE (Bk 1, Warriors of the Mist)
    Worth a read
    the book is well written and brings you to a world that most fantasy books don't go. its not what I would call a great book but definitely worth the read. Fyi - there is a little adult content so warning for the easily offended reader. Its really on a few small parts
    I absolutely loved this book! I liked the description of this book so I thought I would give it a go and I was not disappointed! Danielle Monsch takes you to a world that grabs you and doesn’t let you go. Her characters are enthralling and draw you in to their journey. Terak is a strong leader of his clan of gargoyles and Larissa doesn’t know she has a place in the supernatural world. I was so drawn in with the way the author brings her characters to life. There is such a diverse assortment of characters you can’t help but find a favorite. Terak and Larissa come together initially out of curiosity and through their journey they find a hot but sweet romance. Who knew gargoyles were so HOT! This is not a book to miss, you’ll definitely be coming back for more!
    For the first book in series, Stone Guardian guaranted a good read with interesting world building. A mix of paranormal romance with fantasy, plus many geeks element that I recognized. Maybe because I'm a nerd too :).
    An event called Great Collision make Human Realm and Magical Realm become one. Vampire, werewolf, mage, wizard, orcs, goblin, even dragon, all that supranatural creature you can dream of, suddenly invade our world. 26 years later, human accept them, but something extraordinary happen when a woman name Larissa Miller chased by zombie and then guarded by a gargoyle. Not just a mere gargoyle, for Terak is the leader of Clan Gargoyle and nothing can stop him from protect Larissa. Beware vampire and werewolf, there was a new hottie in paranormal world, a gargoyle that as sexy as you are, as protective and possessive, and have a golden heart. Terak made me want to have gargoyle for my own. Even, I'm not sure what I can do with a guy who have stone-like skin, leathery wings and.. tail ;).
    Anyhoo, when I think maybe Stone Guardian is the same old paranormal romance, there are merryband of supernatural romp that scream "girl power!" that is The Guild. They are Fallon, a redhead with fiery temper that wield sword called Tenro and have title as "Dragon Slayer". Her unique and eccentric mage friend, an Asia woman name Laire. Then their comrade, Aislinn, an elf who wield her arrow with deadly accurancy. Well, this trio kinda remind me of Aragorn-Legolas-Gimli (plus Gandalf, for Laire) from Lords of the Ring! ;). Of course the Guild is not just them. There are Wulver, a were and Kyo, a Psy-Mage that is mysterious. Love vampire? Don't worry, there was Reign, a master vampire that somehow obsessed with Fallon.
    What I love from Stone Guardian, beside so many fantasy element is, it avoid some paranormal romance cliches. First, no band of hot and hunky men, that remind me of Black Dagger Brotherhood. It same old same old, and kinda overused right now. I'm glad that Ms Monsch replace it with Fallon-Laire-Aislinn (even I can't exclude Wulver of course), because women can kick ass too. Then, it doesn't have a character who age span is hundred or thousand, that in the end make their mate sacrifice their immortality. Terak explain that Gargoyle and human have a same age span, so the possibility for Larissa and Terak to live until death do us part (aka live until their old age) are plenty.
    Oh, do I forget to mention that both Larissa and Terak are virgin??. Whoop, I'm so happy when read this! Virgin heroines are overrated right now, and virgin heroes are rare as a jewel. To combine both, well.. sizzling! While Terak is virgin, he do so "creative" when it comes to sex. And their last sex scene? I tell you that Terak's wing is a very useful tool.
    For the cover, well Ms Monsch so lucky to have Nathalia Suellen to design the cover. I really love Stone Guardian cover. Again, it not try to be sexy, with a hunk that show his six(or eight packs) pose awkwardly and sometimes have his head chopped. The cover show Terak in his full glory. Menacing, yet mysterious and show his protectiveness. Simply put, gorgeus!
    I'm glad to discover Stone Guard, and can't wait to explore more the Entwined Realm series. This is a series that paranormal romance lover must read!
    Stone Cold Gargoyles that are Knock-Em Dead Hot, Hot, Hot!!!!!
    Stone Cold Gargoyles that are Knock-Em Dead Hot, Hot, Hot!!!!!
    Holy Cow! This book was can't-put-down amazing! Stone Cold Gargoyles that are Knock-Em Dead Hot, Hot, Hot!!!!! There are also orcs, zombies, elves, the shadow, wizards, mages, bampires and more... BUT... It's a sexy gargoyle that steals the heroine's heart and mine.
    Larissa Miller was born during the Great Collision when the magical realms and the human world collided. She's just an ordinary school teacher with an overly protective father and 4 brothers, all cops. Or so she thought... When she's attacked by zombies and saved by Terak, leader of the gargoyles, that's just the start of the hypnotizing havoc. Will she and Terak solve the mystery of why she's on the Most Wanted list of the dreaded Necromancer?
    This book is a pure fantasy and I LOVED it! It's one WOW moment after another... and wittily campy to boot! I didn't want to put it down and I never wanted it to end! I want a Terak of my own!
