It's your money - keep it!

This is a good read for anyone with a 401(k) or 403(b) account. Hidden and obscure fees inhibit your retirement goals. Why work harder and longer than necessary? Give this book to your boss and your human resources department.

    A reviewer

I can't believe more people aren't upset about this and it isn't all over the news! I went through the easy steps outlined in the book and found out I could be reducing my 401k fees by over $1,300 a year! Not a bad payoff for a few hours of reading, and an hour of effort. Plus, I found out that I could actually retire 4 years earlier by getting my employer to fix our 'costly clunker' 401k plan.

The curtain is lifted on hidden fees!

Loeper provides surprising information on where the 401k fee bodies are buried, and then shows you how to gather information to determine if your own 401k plan fees are reasonable, and if not, what to do about it in terms of informed and diplomatic approaches to your employer. Interesting charts in the back show examples of the impact on people's lives of excessive 401k fees in terms of having to work longer, save more, or living in retirement with less spending power. Very real impacts presented in understandable terms.
