A must read if you're new to borderline personality disorder

This book opened my eyes to things that were giong on that I hadn't even noticed. At first I wasn't going to read the book, but once I started reading the introduction I was hooked. There was someone else out there who had gone through the same things I had. This book is written for someone with a family member or a significant other with BPD, and is a good introduction to BPD.

An Eye-opener for someone married to a BPD

My husband had been diagnosed w/ BPD several years ago and was prescribed medications. No therapy or family therapy was prescribed. Reading this workbook, and doing some of the exercises has opened my eyes to what he goes through, and has helped me to stop blaming myself for his failings. I now am setting boundaries and hope I am on the road to recovering my own sense of well being. Perhaps, when he is ready, I will then be able to help him.

    Should not have been published

This is a very dangerous book. The main author is not a professional and has inaccurate information but more importantly some truly damaging recommendations. Borderline Personality Disorder is a very serious diagnosis that should be made by a professional ONLY! Anyone reading this book should be extremely careful before relying on this book and, in my opinion, should never be dishonest with anyone, including someone you believe has Borderline Personality Disorder. I would NOT recommend this book.
