My 7 year old took this book out from the library and devoured it -- she spent hour upon hour sifting through its pages on various breeds, determining which type of horse she might want when she gets older. The lovely pictures and condensed yet useful descriptions drove her to read much longer than she otherwise might have.
This was a comprehensive yet condensed decription of these breeds. The beginning of the book covers history of the horse as well as how they got to North America. Great book to overview horse breeds for anyone interested in horses. Beautiful pictures-would make great coffee table book. My teenage daughter loves this book as do I!
I love this book. It has everything (well, almost everything) you need to know about any kind of breed. I plan on using this book for when I'm ready to get a horse of my own, and even when I'm ready to start in a mixed animal vet clinic. This book is awesome!!
This is absoloutely my favorite horse encyclopedia! It is a wonderful book, with correct, detailed information on each horse breed, wonderful pictures, and is a great buy!
I got the sample and can I just say, I can totally tell between an Arabian horse breed, and the Spanish horse breed! I highly recommend this book...... even the sample!!!!!!
