In Stories Behind 50 Southern Gospel Favorites, Vol. 2, you will find more songs—both old and new—that speak with immeasurable passion to the soul of the listener. As in volume one, the songs were born out of the experiences of the authors—sometimes joyful, but more often from trial and sorrow.

The selection of the particular stories for this volume reflects the timeless popularity of the songs themselves. Songs include:

• I Should Have Been Crucified
• Because He Lives
• One Day at a Time
• Written in Red
• I’m Standing on the Solid Rock
• He Was There All the Time
• Peace in the Midst of the Storm
• He Came to Me
• Goodby, World, Goodby
• Take My Hand, Precious Lord

You know the songs, and now you can know the people God used to give them to us!

“Lindsay Terry has captured the essence of many of the songs we love. . . . The stories behind the time and effort spent in the songwriting process will enlighten and inspire the reader.”

—Gary McSpadden
From the Introduction

“In these stories you will ‘see the hearts’ of the writers.”

—Mosie Lister
