Bob Carlisle rode the surprise success of "Butterfly Kisses" for nearly two years before moving to new territory with Stories from the Heart. Stories from the Heart also happens to share the same sentiments as "Butterfly Kisses" -- almost every song on the record appeals to "the heart," either through tales of family, God, country, Jesus or love. Although nothing stands out like "Butterfly Kisses" though, by God, he tries real hard for another grand slam with "Father's Love", there aren't many weak moments on the record, and that may be enough for many fans of the father-daughter epic.
