I read the first one and loved it. Storm Front didn't disappoint

I read the first one and loved it. Storm Front didn't disappoint!!! Ashley and Ryan and so flawed and gut-wrenching to watch. Like a train wreck you can't take you stop looking at. It's beautiful and poignant and heartbreaking...yet it has a happily ever after. The whole package. Definitely glad I stumbled across this series last year from this indie author.

The Charistown series books have become one of my favorite serie

The Charistown series books have become one of my favorite series, with Thursday Night’s the first in the series.
The series is about a group of people who met through a common association with a neighborhood bar called Danny’s on Main.
Yet really it is a story of family.  Sometimes dysfunctional, sometimes at odds, but always with the love that comes from finding
those people who may not be family by blood, but are truly a family by loving, and truly caring about each other.

Storm Front answers the question what is it between Ryan and Ashley that we are left with after reading Thursday Nights.
This book tugs at the heart strings as we the reader find out about a past that goes back nearly a decade. With the breaking
point for both of them being a tragic accident that left both Ryan and Ashley guilt ridden, broken and wounded in the aftermath.
With a past as deep as these two have it was inevitable that when they finally let down their guards the story would be amazingly hot.

Lisa N Paul writes story’s with characters are rich and tangible, that you like despite that may seem to be somewhat broken
and flawed. While the main story of her books revolve around a couple, she writes in such a way that each character becomes
an interracial part of each book, and with each book you like the entire family of Danny’s on Main, more and more and more…

The Charistown series far more than just a SEXY HOT READ… and yes they are that also.

    Review: Charistown #2: Storm Front

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Storm Front by Lisa N. Paul is the second book in her fantabulous series, Charistown.

Oh Holy angst-fest. This book was painful and heartbreaking and un-put-downable! We first met Ashley and Ryan in book one, Thursday Nights. They live together, are very close, but aren't a couple. Their friends are trying to figure out the dynamics to their relationship, but to no avail.

Rewind seven or so years, and we learn that they pretty much grew up together. Ryan was Ashley's brother, Leo's, best friend, and hers. Leo and Ryan were part of a band called Storm Front. Ashley and Ryan wrote lyrics together and sparks were flying. With Leo's approval, and subsequent pain of death threat should Ryan hurt Ashley, the two get together and are very much in love. Then, as it does in many storylines, tragedy strikes. It devastates Ryan and Ashley beyond repair.

The book then takes you ahead three years to see a reunion (of sorts) that lays the ground work for events we know took place from book one. And then ahead four years and we are in the same timeline as the first book. Very neatly skirting the relative corresponding events.

I love when a book can evoke that chest gripping pain you get when you hurt for the people you're reading about. Not because I like the pain so much as I know I'm reading a great book. Well-written and perfectly mated to the first book I can't wait to see what happens next with Kyle (Breaking to Breathe), although I REALLY want Gage's story too. Him and Lyla from book one...Phew! Bring it on Mrs. Paul - Bring it on! (please :-D)

Years ago Ryan and Ashley were best friends and first loves. Ash

Years ago Ryan and Ashley were best friends and first loves. Ashley's brother Leo was their other best friend. They were young and in love thinking nothing could tear them apart. Jealousy comes between them and stars the rift and a hurricane finishes their friendships off. Years later Ryan tracks Ashley down and tries to convince her for another chance. The Ashley he knew isn't the woman standing in front of him now. She is different but still the love of his life. They become friends again even when both want more the past is still keeping them apart. It will take Danny's on Main, friends and maybe another storm to show them they belong together.

Ashley starts off as the sweet girl everyone wants to protect and keep safe. She is a very caring person who will do anything for her brother and Ryan. Her brother has been all she has had her whole life and Ryan has been in her heart since she met him. As a woman she is independent who keeps things hid from others. She never wants to have her heart broke and she is far from the innocent girl years ago. Ryan is in a band and loves a few things in his life. He loves his dad, Leo and Ashley. He is a moody guy and has a lot of anger issues. He will do anything to show Ashley he loves her and wants only her. He can be a jerk at times but he is also one of the sweetest most caring guys there is. As a man Ryan is still much the same. He isn't as angry but he still cares deeply for Ashley. He does some stupid stuff trying to get her attention but no matter what he is there for her.

First thing I did when I finished this book was immediately add the first to my to buy list. I fell so much in love with these characters and the book. I didn't want this book to end. I read it in one sitting ignoring all those around me till I finished it. Both Ashley and Ryan crawl into your heart and don't leave. They go through so much together and apart. Ashley I will say I did get aggravated with and thought if you don't want Ryan I will take him. She has had a hard time and has to learn to let go and forgive. You see from the start how much they love each other and how much chemistry they have between them. I like Ashley when she was an innocent but when she grows up she is someone you would want to have as your friend. There is love for sure in this book. There is also quite a few tears, Not many books can make me cry but this one ad the power to do so. There is also the love of family. It may not be the family you are born into but the ones you create that are the best type and this book shows that. I recommend this to everyone as it is so wonderful. It is a must read.

4.5 Wonderful Stars! What a great read!!!

This is the story between Ashley and Ryan.

Ashley grew up knowing Ryan, why?...because he was best friends with her brother Leo. The three of them were so close, they were all three family. Ryan knew he was in love with Ashley, but at seventeen how would she take it?

Things happen and they give it a shot with Leo's blessing. He couldn't ask for a better guy for his baby sister.

Ryan messes up and causes Ashley's heart to break, then tragedy strikes causing pain for all involved. Ashley decides to up and leave and get a fresh start. As much as Ryan wanted to follow, he knew he needed to do things to fix himself first.

Three years later...he finds her. He's never given up on her or the love they shared, but the Ashley he finds is not the Ashley he knew.

This Ashley is edgy, colorful streaked hair, and cusses like no other. She's also known as Spicy! The more Ryan is around this new Ashley the more he's taken with her. It doesn't matter that she's changed, she's still the girl he wants.

The two get close for a short time and then Ashley pulls away. They live together for years, but she won't have anything to do with him...other than be friends and also co-workers. He tries and tries to win her over but she won't budge.

When Ryan decides it's time to move on, Ashley can't help the jealousy she feels. She wants him but feels she doesn't deserve him.

A storm is coming and the two have decisions to make. Can these two put the past behind them and move forward or will it continue to haunt them and ruin any chance at true happiness?

I absolutely loved Ryan! (Insert Swooning here) This was a story of love, heartbreak, sadness, trust, friendship, and family. Definitely a great story and a must read!

This book was amazing. I wanted to devour and savor this book all at the same time. Ryan and Ashley's love was unstoppable. There was many twists and turns that left my heart and soul feeling their happiness and sadness. Book #3 can't come fast enough. I have to know what else happens to the family of Danny's on Main.

When I heard the next book in The Charistown Series was going to

When I heard the next book in The Charistown Series was going to be Ryan and Ashley’s story, I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on it. I could feel the sexual tension radiating off them in the first book Thursday nights but my assumptions were never confirmed. Both were honorary members of the Danny’s on Main family where they worked as bartender and waitress but as you read in this book things are not what they always appear to be.

The book has a reoccurring metaphor of storms, literally and figuratively. A hurricane forever changes Ashley’s and Ryan’s lives but the storm within rages on. The storyline is one of a journey of self-discovery, first love and loss, guilt, shame and forgiveness. Ashley was consumed with trying to meet everyone’s expectations. She felt invisible and thought that if she was “perfect” that she wouldn’t be invisible to the ones she loved. Ryan had to come to grips with his anger from the grief and loss he experienced in his life. He had to learn to trust in love again. Both of these life lessons I believe anyone can relate to.

By the end of this book I was satisfied like a cat that ate the mouse. I am an intimacy junkie and the intimacy was spot on for the characters. It was at times sweet, titillating, sensual and erotic. If I could have I would have “named each one of (Ryan’s) abs” if I had the chance. Being described as “the trifecta of male perfection” can only leave me to use my imagination on what that must look like. Tattoos + Body Modifications + Muscles in all the right places + a musician = my perfect book boyfriend. I felt the storyline was totally relatable and believable. The story starts in the present and goes into the past seamlessly. I did feel at times some of the scenes were cut a bit short and I wished they were longer, which is never bad when you want more. This didn’t inhibit my love for this story; it just left me wanting more. I went into this book expecting to like it and at the end it exceeded my expectations. I loved it. I can’t wait for the third installment of this series, Breaking to Breathe. Let me take a lesson from Lyla and propose a toast,

“To hot men with tattooed bodies and muscles that flex, but most of all to hot, steamy sex!!!”
