To use the word amazing is not too strong when describing this book. I've never read anything like it and I loved every minute of it. Do yourself the favor of buying this book, if you don't you'll be missing out.

Meet the Author

Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Marissa Dobson now resides about an hour from Washington, D.C. She's a lady who likes to keep busy, and is always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, she believes you are never done learning.

Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave her the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read she has always had her nose in a book. It wasn't until she was a teenager that she started writing down the stories she came up with.

Marissa is blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He's her other half and allows her to stay home and pursue her writing. He puts up with all her quirks and listens to her brainstorm in the middle of the night.

Her writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to her bounce ideas off them. They might not be able to answer, but they're helpful in their own ways.

She love to hear from readers so send her an email at marissa@marissadobson.com or visit her online at http://www.marissadobson.com.

I'm tired of series. I'll revisit the stars once the story of Stormkins is wrapped-up.

Unique, inventive, and totally original. Storm Queen is the story of a woman tossed in a world of fantasy and magic after living in reality for the whole of her life. We are given hints throughout the story that tell us that Kayla was unique from a very young age. She was meant to be queen and Marissa does a great job showing this to the reader. There were moments at the beginning that I thought it was all happening and accepted to quick. However, Kayla's personality sort of dismissed this concern. A very powerful story about prejudices and it is laid out very nicely in this totally original paranormal romance story. I could totally jive with each character. A lot of times you get the men acting to 'emotional' in books. Men just aren't bleeding hearts, especially alpha enforcers. So it was nice to see men acting like men. I was totally satisfied with the intimacy story line! I wasn't happy with Storm Queen however. My loathing for her runs along the lines of how much I hated Catelyn Stark in the Game of Thrones lol! This was a great new addition to the paranormal romance world, it almost had a Urban Fantasy feel because the intimate scenes weren't the main focus of the story and I LOVED that! I thought each scene was done so well! I will be continuing this series! I can't wait for the next one!
