Storm Warming Completely Revised and Updated By Billy Graham I was drawn to read the book Storm Warning by Billy Graham because I know he is a world renowned evangelist. People of many religious backgrounds and positions in life seek him with questions regarding God and His Word, known as the Bible. His combined knowledge gathered over his 71 years in ministry and his vast experience across this world sparked my interest in reading this book to see what he has to say about the book of Revelation. In this book Billy Graham shares his understanding of this book of the Bible and how what is written on its pages relate to what our world is currently experiencing in government, finance, spirituality and morality. Billy Graham presents "warnings" from throughout the Bible about things to happen. Some things have already come to pass and some are yet to come. He uses the analogy that the older generations put in their hearing aids and turn them up and the younger generations set aside their headphones so we can hear these warnings from heaven. Billy Graham speaks of the deception that is rampant in our world today. He asks the hard questions, Is God ashamed of our churches today? When the unbeliever spends time with the "churchgoers" do they see a reflection of Christ? Throughout the whole book I see the heart of Billy Graham in his writing of this book. His intent is obviously a cry to the people to repent and to be sure of their place in heaven through Jesus Christ alone. He exclaims we are to be ready for what God has told us will come, and God says it will be soon. He explains that the evidence of God's mercy and love to those who still do not know Him is in His patience and how He is still holding out His arm of salvation but that day will soon come to an end as promised in scripture. He ends the book with the explanation of the hope we as Christians have in Jesus Christ. He offers some glimpses from the book of Revelation that speaks of heaven and our eternity there with God and His Son Jesus, forever in their presence and worshipping in peace and love. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com <http://BookSneeze.com> book review bloggers program. He has made my life easier, just everyday living with this man's words in faith that he his himself. There was quite a bit in this book, I never heard before. GOD AND HIS SON ARE IN-CHARGE that's for sure. Amen!

All I can currently think is that surely Billy Graham is a true messenger of God. This book summarizes the end times Revelation of John in a way that is thorough, meaningful, emotional, and with authority. This book gives hope to the believer, and most certainly imparts fear and unease on the non-believer. This in-depth evaluation of the end times prophecies gave me so much to ponder. This work gave some new perspective to my life and honestly prods me to make some changes to how I feel about the "here and now." I earnestly want to help others prepare for these times that will come at God's appointing. This book saddens me for the unbelieving and makes me want to worship loudly as I see my Savior conquer evil once and for all. Truly, truly moving. Although this book was originally published in 1992, it has been updated in 2010 to include further "current events" that allude to the coming of the end of this age as we know it. It is current, eye-opening, shocking, and comforting all wrapped into one. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Seriously.nonbelievers might see God's Truth in the words of this great preacher. Believers might find focus, comfort, and purpose. Just those curious about "end times" topics will get their fill in this work. Whatever your focus, you can easily close the back cover of this book feeling the very presence of God near. In the words of John the Revelator, " Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Rev 22:20, KJV & NKJV)

WARNING!!!!!!!! What do you do take action or blow it off? Billy Graham's book storm warning is about the signs of the times. He uses today's newspaper headlines and world events and compares them with the book of revelation and Matthew 24. He takes the complexity of bible prophecy and simplifies it into tough questions for us to ask ourselves today. Billy Graham is very intriguing in his relative ideas. He softly urges us to not stand idle, but to acknowledge the signs that Jesus predicted and prepare. He goes over Revelation 6 and describes (his own thoughts) on the horsemen, and the signs of their entrance. All in all a great read. This was the first book by graham that I have read but wont be this last. I acquired this advanced copy from Thomas nelson publishing in return for an honest assessment.

As a blogger for booksneeze.com I had the opportunity to review the newest book by Billy Graham, Storm Warning. Just as Jesus warned the apostles that weather could be discerned from visible signs, the end times would also yield visible signs. Nevertheless, this book is not extreme in so far as actually predicting the end times as many cultic groups claim. In accordance with the biblical message concerning the end times, we can not know the exact time or date- and this is in fact upheald throughout the message of this book. Modern events, disasters and upheavals: social, economic, moral and environmental, are considered in light of the prophetic book of revelation. The momentous and difficult times faced today are considered to be signs or warnings for responsible individuals to consider. Analogous to the days of Noah, God did in fact give some warning, nevertheless the majority chose to ignore the warnings, we as a society, are living in the end times as well. We simply need to open our eyes and consider what is going on around us, in accordance to the difficult end times alluded to in the bible. Graham considers the decline of moral and social values, economic hardship, environmental and biological disaster as well as widespread death and how it all relates specifically to the four horsemen described in the book of revelation. The book of revelation is explained using specific modern events as well as socio-economic conditions that are undeniable. I enjoyed this book greatly and its reliance on scripture as well as verifiable events/ conditions is its strong point. In contrast to so many other Christian commentaries times which rely heavily on the authors' selectively chosen personal ancedotes and stories, Graham's book has a strong foothold on actual events and actual scripture. I would reccomend this book for anyone wishing to put today's events in perspective.

Billy Graham fist wrote this book years ago. What makes this book interesting is that he has added current history. It makes for a compelling read from one of the great prophets of our time. He doesn't always say what out culture wants to hear -- he says what we need to hear. I highly recommend this book.

I received my copy of Storm Warning in mid-May of this year. The reason I requested this book was two-fold: First, I have the utmost respect for the author and Pastor-Billy Graham. I was given the opportunity to listen to an audio book on his life a few years ago. Although I am not a youngster, I never really listened to him preach when his events were aired on television. When I listened to the book on his life, I was incredibly amazed to hear how his vision to spread the Gospel made such a huge impact on the world at large. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet an amazing Christian speaker who was present at one such event! She made the decision to give her life to Christ that very night in Japan, many years ago. Second, I know very little of the Apocalypse foretold by the Apostle John and have a difficult time dissecting the book of Revelation. I was hopeful that reading this book would provide an understanding I struggle obtaining elsewhere. Honestly, it did. You may not know much about storms, but I can say from first-hand experience-living on the east coast of Virginia-when a hurricane is expected to hit, individuals are provided with advance warnings for days prior to estimated arrival on land. I see the established warning system as a way for families to review options available for safety and determine how they will respond - to protect their family in the most appropriate way. I see this book in a similar light-providing a guide for everyone on salvation and a life with Christ. A few years ago we were hit by a severe hurricane, my husband and I decided to leave town and attend a Virginia Tech football game we already had tickets to see (GO HOKIES!). We figured if a tree was going to fall on our house, it could fall without us IN it! We were very blessed-only a large tree limb crushed the shed in our backyard. We remained in Blacksburg for a few days after, which turned out to be another blessing as our electricity was not restored for 14 days! I enjoyed this book, as a Christian, being reminded of the hope I have in Christ-as He WILL return to save all of His children! Pastor Graham updated this previously published book (1992) to highlight the recent events he believes confirm the prophecy of this Biblical book. I would encourage everyone to take the time to read this book and consider you're the warning! Your own destiny is at stake! I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review; the opinions expressed are my own. Storm Warning by Billy Graham has two main, corresponding componenets. The first is an in depth look at the visions the apostle John was given while on exile on the isle of Patmos. These visions were of the 4 Horsemen and 7 Seals that will one day be unleashed on the earth as described in the book of Revelation. While explaining John's visions in detail, Graham intertwines current events, and events in recent history that prove that the 4 Horsemen could well be on their way to earth to set the end times into motion. Billy Graham uses much Scripture throughout this book to back up his writing, and his authority as a Man of God can easily be sensed. This is the first Billy Graham book I have read, so I am not able to compare it to any of his other works. Standing alone though, this book was pretty good. It was fairly easy to read, and the current events mentioned and stories shared made John's visions extremely relevant in our modern world. I loved the fact that several times in the book, Graham clearly lays out the plan of Salvation and literally begs those not ready for the return of Christ to take head to the hoof beats that can already be heard in the distance.
