Overview

#1 New York Times bestselling author Johanna Lindsey returns to the dazzlingly passionate world of the Malorys, an aristocratic family of rakehell adventurers and spirited ladies, in a thrilling new tale of unbridled desires.

Judith and Jacqueline Malory are not simply cousins; they are inseparable best friends. Refusing to miss Jacqueline’s come-out in Connecticut, Judy convinces her parents, James and Georgina, to let her delay her London debut by a few weeks so she can accompany her cousin. Neither girl intends to fall in love during her first Season. But Judy’s plans are overturned when aboard ship she comes face-to-face with the ghost who has been haunting her dreams.

Unknown to the Malorys, deckhand Nathan Tremayne is a smuggler with a noose around his neck. Determined to carry out a covert mission in America that could gain him a pardon, Nathan senses that Judith is trouble. Somehow the minx knows his secret—and now she’s blackmailing him into doing her bidding—teaching her how to climb the rigging and how to kiss. While passions can soar on the high seas, Nathan knows this aristocratic beauty is merely amusing herself with a scoundrel like him.

When the unthinkable happens in Connecticut and the elder Malorys’ hands are tied, Nathan takes command of a dire situation. Captaining his own ship, he turns the tables on Judy and steers them into uncharted waters, where a lady might just throw caution to the wind and give her heart to a scoundrel.

STORMY PERSUASION by Johanna Lindsey is an exciting Historical Romance. #11 in the "Malory-Anderson Family series, but can be read as a stand alone. I loved this tale of sacrifice, family relationships, pirates, passion, selflessness, romance and the power of love.
This is Judith Malory and Nathan Tremayne. Nathan, a smuggler with a noose around his neck, on a convert mission to America, looking for redemption and Judith looking for adventure and love.
Malory fans are sure to enjoy Ms. Lindsey's return to the Malory clan. Even if you haven't read one of the Malory tales, you will enjoy "Stormy Persuasion". It was not hard to follow the storyline, and characters. Well written with the most engaging characters, and an intriguing as well as interesting storyline and very entertaining indeed. A bit of humor is added to this tale, which, is a plus. A new generation of Malory's are on the horizon. Look out fans, there is sure to more coming. I absolutely loved this story. I was turning pages as fast as I could, and didn't want to put it down. I would highly recommend this title. Oh did I mention the passion, the danger around the corner and the betrayal. Well done!!
Received for an honest review from the publisher and Net Galley.

    A complete disappointment

I love the Mallory series, but I was very disappointed with this book. The dialogue was childish & the characters just never came alive for me. Not what I was expecting from a Johanna Lindsey novel at all.

This book was a dissapointment to put it mildly, an incedible waste of money. So much of this read was a recap of previous books in this series.

    Threasa's Review

Love Johanna Lindsey and especially the Malory novels. This one did not disappoint. Judith was wonderful and Nathan nice. I do feel it could have been more about them than everyone else but when writing the 11th book in a series of books about a family then you kinda have to take time to touch on everyone else I guess. Not that I minded much since I love ALL the Malorys and Andersons. I can not wait til Jack's story comes out! I kinda got it figured out in my mind already and need to see if I am right :)
