Editorial Reviews

Erotica for All - Lucy Felthouse
“So if you’re looking for a well-written, sexy, romantic paranormal read, then you should definitely check out this book. All the tales are available individually, but if you love werewolf tales then you may as well buy this edition and get the best value for money, and also enjoy all five Deveraux men one after the other. A very enjoyable read.”
LoveztoRead - Mom Blogger
“I had the wonderful privilege of reviewing the compilation novel of author Selena Blake’s hot and steamy Cajun Werewolves”
“And the amazing sex during a storm just added that extra bit of Spice to the story! Great romance, great sex, great story.”

Enjoyable, but rough around the edges.

Overall, these books were a fair read. I find myself somewhere in the middle of delighted and disappointed, with various parameters ranking on opposite ends of the scale.

Things I loved: The detail of the settings. The enjoyment of a book that is there solely for pleasure, not for depth. (Guilty pleasures, if you will) All of the stories, to a degree, built on one another. This added a lot to the series, and helped it flow a little better. Character development was a little forced, but good. She did a lovely job building the characters and making them all unique - something challenging for any romance author. Once the characters were in place, she did a good job further developing them through interactions.

Things I didn't: Length isn't everything, but this was short for 6 books. About 1000 Nook pages. I had gotten the anthology off of positive reviews, and hoped to have a long read. My mistake. One dimensional story lines - it's about werewolves finding their mates. To a fault. The author, as it goes on, tries to add some depth to the story. She has some success, but it's painfully obvious how she glances over the non-romance/character development portions of the book. Painfully. An 'epic battle' involving werewolves: "sliced his claws and down the vampire went". Some key developments were choppy and felt out of place.

I'd recommend starting with one of the .99c books and see if you like her style. She did a pretty good job overall, and the Werewolf pack was fun to get to know. Happy reading!

    Love this series

Great series; sexy alpha wolves with painful pasts that keep them likeable. Fast paced stories with hot sex, suspense, full characters. Good ending too.
