    a cult book

an absolute classic if you ask me ... I am a fervent adept of chick lit , but this one goes far beyond mainsteam girlie stuff.Jay Mc Inerney is brillant at voicing his characters thoughts and feelings>

You can't read it just once!

I first read this book about 7 years ago and it soon became 'old faithful' when I had nothing else worth reading. I let someone borrow it and I was devastated when they failed in returning it as promised. I am now buying it again!

    sad, funny and honest

from the first line you get sucked in to Allisons world. I read the book in one sitting. felt sad, laughed out loud, and appreciated the honesty
