Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Storyteller Paxton relates how Claus became the Santa Claus in this amusing story. Claus lived in the Old Forest and he made toys for the local children, but soon his fame and generosity spread, and even working late into the night, Claus couldn't keep up with the demand. Finally, his wife enlisted the help of the elves. The elves began producing so many toys that Claus and his wife along with the elves moved to the North Pole. Once there he enlists the help of the reindeer to assist with delivery. This tall tale is ably illustrated in oils that imbue Claus and his elves with their own warm and fun-loving personalities.
