Excellent book about breaking in the biz!

This book is the 'Bible' for breaking into the Hollywood scene as an artist! I've been an artist for many, many years, and there has never been a book that teaches you how to break in like this one! I highly recommend this book for anyone seriously thinking about storyboarding for the film industry. As for the cry baby who gave this book one star below, he obviously failed miserably in Hollywood and needs someone to blame. This is a fantastic book!

Title is misleading - NOT an instruction book

This book is misleading from cover to cover. It is not a tutorial or 'course' as the title may mis-lead you to believe. It is a personal account of finding a job in Hollywood after leaving film school without a plan. This book does not even discuss the basic nomenclature of the storyboard artist, much less present insights or examples into actual storyboards from sequences in films with which you may be familiar. Have I mentioned that the book title and editor's summary is misleading. Pass on this and find something actually helpful in learning how to prepare storyboards like 'Understanding Comics' or 'Storyboards: Motion in Art'.

A highly inspirational account of breaking into the world of storyboarding.

I'd highly recommend this book to anyone interested in doing storyboards especially if they want to do them for the movie industry. The author tells he how he got into the business - without ever taking an art class! He lets you know what you have to be able to do when you are a storyboard artist and who to contact for work and how. Storyboarding 101 inspired me to get my samples together and send them to Hollywood.

Storyboarding 101 de-mystifies the movie buisness

Mr. Fraioli illuminates the misunderstood world of the movie buisness as well as help you get a job. Not bad

    Interesting and informative reading material!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fraioli's storyboarding book and how he applied his intelligence, skills, talent and luck to break into the film industry!  Presently I am an actor/model moonlighting in Seattle, with hopes of someday breaking into Hollywood. I found his material informative and very interesting reading...I give it two thumbs up!
