Overview

Danger, conspiracy, love, and redemption combine in a steam-driven imaginary world.

Lady-in-waiting to an impetuous princess, Lily Nightingale is banished from court after protecting her mistress’s reputation. She ends up on the road with the cause of her eviction, itinerant performer and ladies’ man, Kier Rohann, whose magnetic personality unaccountably attracts her.

Footloose Rohann thought he’d put his miserable past behind him, until he spots the man who destroyed his world. Any plan for revenge is aborted when he’s banned from the palace and forced to travel with a most unlikely companion. Sensible, steadfast Lady Lily possesses all the qualities he’s avoided in his sexual dalliances, yet the woman unexpectedly intrigues him.

After accidentally uncovering a conspiracy to seize the kingdom, Lily is determined to return to the capital and warn the king, while Rohann wants to run as far as possible from danger. Will Rohann, who’s avoided any attachments in life, sacrifice himself for the greatest challenge of all—love?

Meet the Author

Bonnie Dee is a multi-published romance writer. She began telling stories as a child as the designated ghost tale teller at sleepovers, guaranteed to frighten and thrill with macabre tales. She still has a story printed on yellow legal paper in second grade about a ghost, a witch and a talking cat. Writing childish stories for her own pleasure led to majoring in English at college. She dreamed of writing a novel but didn't have the necessary focus and follow through at that time in her life. It was only in 2000 that she resumed writing. Bonnie enjoys reading stories about people damaged by life who find healing with a like-minded soul. When she couldn’t find enough books to suit her taste, she began to write them. You can see her back list of titles at http://bonniedee.com, or join her Yahoo group for updates on new releases, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bonniedee/ You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter.

    True Revenge---Chapter 3---Classes(part 1)

(Chapter 2 was meant to be called amber.) Up and at em! A vioce called in. I groaned. Today was Michaels patrol day. The most annoying kid in the academy. "Eowyn!" He yells. "Im up! Im up!" I call back and i hear his foot steps fade away slowly as he continues. I stand and put on my outfit for the day. I heard the speakers come on. "Attention students! Attention students! Today is the final day to vote for the team that you believe will win that is not your own. Whoever wins will recieve an in game advantage. Please take note, they will recieve an in game advantage." I stopped to listen to the staticy voice. Our princible, Lion, as some call him, loves to give out prizes that could change anything. I finish pulling on my shoes and head outside into the hall full of tired students. I locate Amber and file in next to her. "What do you have first for this week?" I ask her. "Combat studies" She says with a groan. "Bad luck. I have training." Amber looks at me disbelievingly. "Again!? Thats what you had last week. Maybe Aaron is taking a shine to you." I laugh. "Doubt it." Amber shrugs and we continue on. I stop by my door. "See ya!" I call to Amber and step inside. (Sorry-cutting it short-part 2 will be up later.)
