Footloose Rohann thought he’d put his miserable past behind him, until he spots the man who destroyed his world. Any plan for revenge is aborted when he’s banned from the palace and forced to travel with a most unlikely companion. Sensible, steadfast Lady Lily possesses all the qualities he’s avoided in his sexual dalliances, yet the woman unexpectedly intrigues him.
After accidentally uncovering a conspiracy to seize the kingdom, Lily is determined to return to the capital and warn the king, while Rohann wants to run as far as possible from danger. Will Rohann, who’s avoided any attachments in life, sacrifice himself for the greatest challenge of all—love?
Bonnie Dee is a multi-published romance writer. She began telling stories as a child as the designated ghost tale teller at sleepovers, guaranteed to frighten and thrill with macabre tales. She still has a story printed on yellow legal paper in second grade about a ghost, a witch and a talking cat. Writing childish stories for her own pleasure led to majoring in English at college. She dreamed of writing a novel but didn't have the necessary focus and follow through at that time in her life. It was only in 2000 that she resumed writing. Bonnie enjoys reading stories about people damaged by life who find healing with a like-minded soul. When she couldn’t find enough books to suit her taste, she began to write them.
