Overview

"Let Nancy Mellon teach you to be a storyteller and a discoverer, for you and your children, of worlds that truly make a difference" (Thomas Moore, from his foreword).

Nancy Mellon uses the skills of Imagination, Memory and Play to encourage families in the art of storytelling; helping strengthen family connectedness, whilst also serving as an educational aid.

The use of the imagination in storytelling helps to; awaken listening; open the senses; focus attention; encourage language development; lead towards a more developed sense of who we are and what we can become.

The language of evolution, storytelling is the gift of our ancestors from all cultures, given to help nourish our healthy development in times of growth and change. Full of wonderful tips of the trade that relax you just to read them, Storytelling with Young Children invites you to embark on the adventure of a lifetime - the journey of the imagination.

Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
